Dear Kim... Dear Kim, How much money do I send the IRS to apply for non-profit status? I keep hearing different amounts. -Chris (Atlanta, GA) Dear Chris, User fees are scheduled to increase for applications postmarked after January 3, 2010. Organizations with average gross receipts less than $10,000 will pay $400; others will pay $850.
